Движение «Европейцы во имя Арцаха» призвало МОК запретить Азербайджану участвовать в Олимпийских играх 2024 г. в Париже

Движение «Европейцы во имя Арцах» направило письмо президенту Международного олимпийского комитета (МОК) с просьбой лишить Азербайджан права участия в летних Олимпийских играх, которые пройдут в Париже в 2024 году, и принять конкретные меры против участия этой страны. 

Как передает «Арменпресс», со ссылкой на сообщение движения, письмо также было направлено президенту Французской Республики, в Национальный олимпийский комитет Франции, в Организационный комитет Олимпийских игр Франции, в мэрию Парижа и министру спорта, Олимпийских и Паралимпийских игр. 

Напомнив об этнической чистке Азербайджана против народа Нагорного Карабаха, движение «Европейцы во имя Арцаха» призвало МОК запретить участие Азербайджана как государства, а азербайджанским спортсменам разрешить выступать под нейтральным флагом.   

На письмо пока ответил лишь Национальный олимпийский комитет Франции, признав ситуацию и отметив, что его позиция соответствует позиции французского правительства и его дипломатическим усилиям, заявив: «Мы не можем оставаться в стороне от этой катастрофы». 

Движение «Европейцы во имя Арцах» ожидает от Международного олимпийского комитета четкой позиции, поскольку бездействие подорвет всю значимость Олимпийских игр и откроет путь для воюющих государств. 

«Европейцы во имя Арцаха» - общеевропейское движение, объединяющее представительные органы армянских общин 15 европейских стран. В июле 2023 года движение обратилось к лидерам Европейского совета, Еврокомиссии и Европарламента и к лидерам стран-членов Совета Европы в поддержку армянского населения Нагорного Карабаха. Это обращение подписали более 500 европейских организаций. 

Миссия движения «Европейцы во имя Арцаха» - мобилизовать граждан и предпринять необходимые действия для обеспечения основных прав армян Нагорного Карабаха и гарантий их реализации. Движение повышает осведомленность в политической, социальной и культурной сферах Европы.
